An analysis into why Arsenal looked so suffocating and dominant against Brighton — taking nuanced looks at pressing, rotations, carries, and more — and what it all means for the approach at Liverpool
I’m glad you’re writing about Odegaard floating more since coming back from injury. Just as the attack was getting stale…
I’m not sure if you specifically called this out but I think Odegaard floating, Kai rotating, and Rice joining the attack are all related. I would even argue they are dependent on each other. I just don’t think it’s a coincidence all these things clicked at once. As you noted with the press, the midfield finally seems to trust each other.
For me the next evolution is Odegaard more consistently making runs into the box. His goal after injury is a perfect example. He makes those runs but imo maybe not enough. (I think that’s the right goal. He came on as a sub, left side of the box. European game, loss? I can remember)
Thank you Billy, outstanding stuff as usual. I look forward to this hitting my inbox every week.
Also finding myself looking forward to the big games now, another test for them to pass. They are more than capable, mentality will be the key at Anfield.
He's done it again folks
If you drop the e in fløetegaard, and go fløtegaard, is is the word in Norwegian for double cream, with gaard at the end
Super insights, love it, keep up the great work . For what it’s worth I think we’re gonna beat the Pool 🔴⚪️

You’re right, the west ham game in carabao
Really like that this did a good job of saying “Anfield will be ok”. Good one, Billy ❤️
I am the one who knocks!

Amazing man, look forward to this all week. You're the man
I’ll admit I didn’t have “Kai Havertz covering William Saliba’s zone” in my 2023 bingo
