A scouting report on the audacious Arsenal target. But also: a look at how Arteta is looking to take a weapon that has been used against him and turn it back at his future foes in the Champions League
A stupendous piece of work. Thank you as always! Outside of the technical comparison between the two, the message Arteta seems to be sending with this summer’s business is that NO ONE has a safe, comfy position in the team, not even the keeper. It’s survival of the fittest, and life in the jungle just got a lot tougher.
Top class write-up. I am curious to see how Arteta gets Raya a run of games, as I do think Ramsdale performs at this best when under pressure. And you surely would not take Ramsdale out when he is doing well!. Maybe Raya against high-pressing teams (esp. away) and champions league?
Babe wake up new BBQ just dropped

Your article now is about marginal gain in goodness my friend!!!
Brilliant, as always.
(Would love a piece on what Arteta’s Phase 4 actually is and what is currently missing)
Another very interesting read. Thank you!

“At this level, marginal gains are all you have left.“
Difference btw finishing second and Winn the league
This is very good. A few personal opinions from you and some I don’t entirely agree with but a very good write up. Thumbs up.
This is a fantastic piece
