A stupendous piece of work. Thank you as always! Outside of the technical comparison between the two, the message Arteta seems to be sending with this summer’s business is that NO ONE has a safe, comfy position in the team, not even the keeper. It’s survival of the fittest, and life in the jungle just got a lot tougher.

Top class write-up. I am curious to see how Arteta gets Raya a run of games, as I do think Ramsdale performs at this best when under pressure. And you surely would not take Ramsdale out when he is doing well!. Maybe Raya against high-pressing teams (esp. away) and champions league?
