Oh, and by the way, I didn't realize my last article was only open to comments if you are a paid subscriber. Hadn't seen that setting before, and didn't mean to have it flicked on.
Thank you for your insightful pieces, I'm really enjoying them. I always enjoyed YW's musings on A Cultured Left Foot, and I appreciate your similar mix of calm analysis, good humour, and Arsenal.
Also, I really appreciate the way you make sure to write names and surnames with the necessary diacritics. It's a pointer to your attention to detail that I applaud.
Great stuff Billy. Curious to know what you mean by White-as-CB “tipping toward more of a plug-in role.” Is that White being in and out of the lineup more or is that the role itself being more of a rotational one?
Basically just saying it may help us understand the expectation around Timber. If you expect Timber to be pure CB/RCB depth until he earns time, you probably just keep White at RB all pre-season. If you expect Timber to be in the mix for starts from the jump -- say, 1 of 4, or 2 of 4 games -- and for White to be primary Saliba cover on top of his RB responsibilities, you probably want White to stay sharp at RCB, too.
